Welcome
I’m Adam & this is Touch The World Travel
For as long as I can remember I have always had a passion for maps, and have yearned to travel the world. I had my first real ‘travel’ experience during the summer of 2009, when I interailed through eight European countries. Since then, the fire has not stopped burning.
After a pivotal 6-month trip completely winging it across Sri Lanka, India and SouthEast Asia, I’ve grown into a dedicated explorer who loves to stray off the beaten path.
I believe travel isn’t a luxury just reserved for full-time nomads, and that people who manage a typical 9-5 job can still have unforgettable adventures. That’s why I’ve dedicated several years to finding the perfect harmony between budget travel, and making the most of my annual leave.
I understand the constraints and challenges of balancing travel with the demands of a traditional job, as this is exactly what I’ve been doing myself, since 2017.
As of 2019, my work has involved organising UK and international travel within the education sector – experience has afforded me a wealth of skills that help me plan personal travel escapades for myself, and for other people.
With this blog, I aim to inspire fellow travel enthusiasts to embark on incredible adventures, without breaking the bank or sacrificing job security. When it comes to finding cheap flights, organising affordable and convenient local transport, finding the best places to eat and visiting must-see sites – I’m proud to say that I’m a pro!
Stretching your travel budget as far as it can go doesn’t mean ‘going without’, if you know where to look. Budget travel isn’t just about saving money; it’s about maximising the value of your experiences.
Keep an eye on the blog for some of my personal travel stories, and guidance to help you travel on a budget. I’ll be sharing practical tips, insightful itineraries, and budgeting guides from my own travels. I’ll show you how to find affordable (and often lovely) accommodation and fantastic flight deals, for every kind of destination.
Life is short and the world is wide, so let’s start making the most of the time we have.
Thank you for joining me on this exciting adventure. Remember, the world is waiting, and I’m just getting started!
Adam
